WHY ME FOR YOUR BUSINESS PORTRAITS?
Your professional business portrait is often the first way a potential client will meet you. The quality of your portrait will have a significant inflience on whether that person decides to reach out to you. So they need to be good. Which means your photographer needs to be good.
Several factors go into creating a “good” business portrait. Expression, attire, and comfortability in front of the camera are all important elements. But the element that will play the largest role in distinguishing your business portrait from an average portait, is how creative the photographer is able to be with the environment you’ll be photographed in.
Unlike headshots, portraits are photographed using the existing environment. Since most of us work in an office, this means working with whatever areas the office has available. Most offices are pretty similar to each other. So finding a creative composition for your business portrait within your office is the most significant challenge for a business portrait photographer.
This is a challenge I welcome and enjoy confronting head-on. I’ll work with you ahead of time to find potential areas around your office—inside and outside—that could be good candidates for your business portrait. Once I arrive on your site, I will work with you further to fine tune areas that will allow us create a portrait that shows you at your best and helps you stand out from the crowd.

“I had heard that Doug was a talented artist but never could I have imagined the finished photography, nor the feedback we received, from Doug’s photography on our projects. His ability to critically analyze the importance of lighting, background imagery, and the focal points of photo are second to none.”
—CARLOS BERIO, Spark Physio
“Doug is professional, positive, and engaging. Most importantly, Doug has an immaculate eye for detail, which showed in how he arranged the shots, offered directions and corrected things that were out of place, and in the attention he gave to the overall look and feel of each photograph. I cannot recommend him highly enough!”
—LINDSAY MOORE, Phi Theta Kappa honoree, Denver
“My IT company had the opportunity to work with Doug for department team photos. Doug was very professional and accommodating. Photo shoots can sometimes be awkward and stiff but Doug made the photo shoot fun and put everyone at ease. He had the whole team laughing which allowed him to capture people with a natural smile. For the team photo he had creative and unique ideas. Instead of a stale group photo, he captured our team bonding around a fire pit with a sharp ‘Vanity Fair’ look. We are excited to work with Doug in the future and recommend him to our clients and friends.”
—ED RUIZ, I.T. Director, Assoc. of Public Health
I’ve had the pleasure of working with Doug since 2009 on a number of whirlwind portrait photo shoots in the most challenging of spaces. Without fail, Doug delivers high-quality, beautiful work. His keen attention to detail and expert understanding of light make for well-composed, powerful images. He is very professional, easy to work with, and in general, a fun person to be around!
