WHY ME FOR YOUR EVENT?
You need images that are going to inspire members of your board, employees, members, and customers. I am a photographer who works patiently to find those moments that capture a sense of emotion, whether excitement, pride, elation, satisfaction, warmth, or affection. These are the kind of photographs that are going to excite your audience.
My work as a Denver corporate event photographer is based in my strong background in documentary photography. This infuses my work and what I look for—whether that is members forging new relationships with others, attendees engaged in learning, or participants being moved by a keynote speaker. I consistently capture both the big moments and the smallest details.
Most of my documentary work requires a “fly on the wall” approach, which is a style I employ in my event photography work. I am unobtrusive in finding the positions I need to be in to be ready to capture the special moments that unfold.
I specialize in marketing, PR, conferences, trade shows, groundbreakings, step and repeat, and holiday parties.
EVENT PHOTOGRAPHY PRICING
WHAT ARE YOUR PAYMENT POLICIES?
I will send you an invoice upon delivery of final event photographs. I ask for payment to be completed with 45 days. I accept checks or wire payments only.
IF WE HIRE YOU ARE YOU THE PHOTOGRAPHER WHO SHOWS UP?
When you hire me for your event, you get me. All rates include myself as the on-the-ground photographer.
WHAT ARE YOUR RATES FOR MORE THAN A 10-HOUR DAY?
For full day event rates, each additional hour beyond the 10th is $125/hr. For half day events, any time over five hours automatically becomes a full day rate.
OUR EVENT OR CONFERENCE IS LOCATED OUTSIDE OF DENVER. WILL YOU TRAVEL?
My rate is $60 an hour for travel time for events located within a day’s drive of Denver, plus reimbursement for mileage at the standard government rate. For events requiring air travel, my rate is $400 per day of travel.
DO YOU USE FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY?
Only when absolutely necessary. My goal is to be as unobtrusive as possible. Firing off a flash is disruptive and annoying to your event attendees. Today’s camera technology also helps with being able to capture properly exposed photographs without a flash in the relatively dark rooms that are common at hotel conference centers. When I do have to use flash, such as during a reception at an evening event, I do so so it mixes with the ambient light and looks natural. Photographs where the subjects are blown out with a flash and the background is pitch dark are unprofessional and you won’t see them from me.
IS A MARKETING LICENSE INCLUDED?
All event photography includes a signed marketing license to use the photographs for promotional purposes including websites, resumes, postcards, business cards, posters, programs, portfolios, brochures, trade show displays, business stationary, and social networking sites. Please let me know if you have another specific use in mind. Full copyright ownership of the photographs is available for an additional fee. Full copyright is usually only desired if you wish to resell the images.
HOW SOON CAN WE EXPECT OUR EVENT PHOTOGRAPHS?
This varies depending on the length of your event. Time needed to cull photographs from a one-day event is going to take a lot less time than a four-day event. In general, you can expect an online proofing gallery within seven business days of the last day of your event (Saturday and Sunday do not count as business days). Once you receive the proofing gallery, you will have a chance to select all images you want and you are free to choose as many images as you like. After I receive your selections and I do basic post-processing on those photographs and deliver you the final images with five business days.
CAN YOU PROVIDE IMAGES DURING THE EVENT SO WE CAN PUT THEM ON OUR WEBSITE OR IN A SLIDESHOW?
Absolutely. The time it takes me to cull and post-process photographs the same day is counted toward the event day rate. If that time surpasses the five- or 10-hour rate the fee is $125 for each additional hour to complete this work.
