This month Agile for All, an organization based here in Denver contracted with me to produce event photography for their annual summer conference called “Humanizing Work.” The event is much like it sounds — they focus on the human element of businesses and the importance of interaction.
I’ve been to a lot of conferences and they all shared pretty much the same characteristics — a group of people sitting in a windowless, charmless room listening to someone speak, which is presents for challenging visual material for a photographer. So I was excited when, during my initial meeting with Agile for All, I was told that their conference was unique in that they structure it so their is a lot of attendee interaction and movement.
“Is that something you think you could handle?” they asked.
“Absolutely!” I replied.
Additionally, the conference is held in hotel in Beaver Creek, Colorado, and when you have a hotel in one of the most beautiful areas of the world, you are darn sure there will be windows included. People moving and great window light to work with — made my job easy.
